Please note:

Acceptance for one of our Conducting Mastercourses or the Opera Conducting Competition is based primarily on DVD/videotape excerpts and educational background and training. Professional experience is not in itself a determining factor.

In other words, it is not necessary for a conductor to have conducted a fully-staged opera with a professional company or to have held professional positions in order to be accepted for the Opera Conducting Mastercourse or Opera Conducting Competition. Similarly, it is not required for a conductor to have conducted any of the works scheduled for the Panula course or to have held a professional conducting position in order to be accepted for this course.
